There is no such thing as ‘The First Lady of Malaysia’ It is merely an unofficial title given to the wife of the Prime Minister of Malaysia following the style of the United States where the wife of the President of the United States is known as the First Lady of the United States. However, while the President of the United States is the Head of State of the United States, the Prime Minister of Malaysia is not the Head of State of Malaysia.
According to Article 32 of the Constitution of Malaysia, the Supreme Head of the Federation, is the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, who shall take precedence over all persons in the Federation and that the Consort of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong is to be called the Raja Permaisuri Agong who shall take precedence next after the Yang di-Pertuan Agong over all other persons in the Federation.
